Face to Face Fundraiser :
Working as a part of a team, the successful applicant(s) will be required to gain memberships and donations on behalf of local charities contracted to CMFundraising.
Duties involve talking to members of the public at shopping centres, supermarkets, garden centres, organised events, etc, with a view to enrolling new supporters of a local charity.
Some administrative and organisational skill will be needed, but the most important qualities are patience and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
This is not a sales job, but in order to be successful, you must be able to "make the ask".
The wage structure is based on a generous hourly rate plus daily bonus. Further details of this pay structure will be outlined at the interview stage.
Full and part-time posts may be available (depending on area), and applicants are asked to make themselves available for at least two-weekends each month.
Your own transport would be a great advantage, although not essential.
Door to Door Fundraiser:
Working in their own local area, our door to door staff deliver information booklets to those householders wishing to consider supporting the charity.
A return visit is then made, a day or so later, to collect the booklet for re-use and to sign up new supporters.
Due to the nature of this work, applicants should be available during weekday evenings, and hours to suit during weekends.
Applicants should be of a presentable appearance, reliable, and reasonably fit (this job may involve a lot of walking).
The wage structure is based on a generous hourly rate plus bonus. Further details of this pay structure will be outlined at the interview stage.
This post often suits applicants wishing to work at a gentler pace, and who are not available for the greater part of the day during the week.
General
For each of these posts, we have a very definite ethic towards the soft sell; the hard sale (foot in the door) approach has no place in charity fundraising.
With each of these types of vacancies, your own transport would be an advantage and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
We are regularly looking to increase our fundraising teams around the UK, and all of our fundraising vacancies are available to be worked in your own local area (you will not be asked to commute to Plymouth!). Successful applicants will attend a local interview and receive full training prior to starting work, followed by continued support throughout their employment.
In all cases, a probationary period of one-month will be worked prior to this post being offered on a permanent basis.
To apply, please complete the application form or/and enclose a CV. We politely request that all applicants include their contact telephone number with their application.
